| The Hi-Tombs (formerly The Four Dices)
Mike and Fredo started playing together in the Four Dices. When Johan "The Cat" Kruize left the band, Mike asked his friend Tim Mercury to join them. After they found out that singer Gerben "Presley" Hagedoorn was too busy with his career and they had to cancel many shows, they decided to do something about it. Tim took a few singing lessons in the church with the pastor of Heerlen (his hometown) and they started rehearsing in the beginning of February 2007. As they had "four" (Four Dices) in the bandname, they decided to change it to The Hi-Tombs. At first they had only planned on doing this when Gerben would not be avaible, but as they got so many good reactions (mainly at the rock 'n' roll meeting in Eindhoven) that they have decided it to keep it that way. Soon a studio was hired in Nederweert (Are U Recordings) and 14 songs were recorded, 5 of them were put on a demo. The First gig was in April 2007 in The Rambler cafe in Eindhoven, and many followed. Lately they have opened shows for Big Sandy and The Fly Rite Boys in Essen, Germany, and for Dale Watson in Helmond. It looks like 2008 will be a busy year and should see the release of a CD on the Tombstone label.
