Larry Williams
Lawrence E. Williams Larry Williams started out as Lloyd Price's valet while Lloyd was recording for Specialty records in the early fifties. When Lloyd left the label, Art Rupe, the president, persuaded Larry to record Lloyd's hit "Just Because". This became Larry's first hit. In the summer of 1957, he recorded "Short Fat Fannie," a song he wrote that became a national hit.
