Boppin' Around is a Dutch rock 'n' roll magazine. Let me rephrase that: Boppin' Around is THE Dutch rock 'n' roll magazine. And this year they're celebratin' their 10th aniversary. Issue #55 (February 2004) comes with a free CD for all members. A very special CD, because no less than 25 Dutch and Belgium bands contributed a song for this unique album, several tracks are even previously unreleased. An album, simply titled BOP!, with 25 recent songs in a very wide variety; uptempo hillbilly, rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, rhtyhm & blues, surf and surfrock. With the very best bands on the European scene today, like The Reno Brothers, Mischief, Kev Black & The Muffdivers, BLINKit, Sue Moreno, Billy Goatriders, Barnstompers and many, many more. A fabulous collection, and a job well done by the Boppin' Around team. Have a look around in our Hall of Fame, many of the bands are listed with biographies and reviews. The CD comes with a 16 page booklet with extensive track information and a short bio for each band, including contact information and lotsa pictures. Great music and a great look. This is the first CD release on the Boppin' Around label, let's hope there will be plenty more to follow!
