| Captured live At the Rattlesnake-Saloon Johnny & The Roccos - Rattlesnake S. RsR0104
Since the last two releases of Johnny & The Roccos were re-issues of earlier LPs, it was about time that Bob Fish would do something new on record. Well, it was worth the waiting, because this brand new LIVE double CD is everything Johnny & The Roccos ever promised to be: the best! Never mind me though, I'm wearing tainted glasses I guess, I've been a Roccos fan for over 20 years now, and they have always been great, live on stage on their own accord as well as backing the great American artists that toured Europe over the years. This is not the first time that the Roccos were captured live, but the first live recordings were only issued on tape by Sunjay in 1989 and, although it's a great gig, it never was widely available and most fans never even heard it. Here's your chance to catch up! It contains all the Roccos' favourites from "I Hate The Disco" to "Shake Shack A Dooby" and many all time classics, all played in that distinctive Bob Fish style. There's only one new song on the album, a fabulous rocking instrumental titled "Rocco Rumble", and, talking about great instrumentals, "Saturday Night At The Duckpond", previously only released on 45 in 1983, is there too! Johnny & The Roccos are: Sleeve notes: Tracklisting: CD2: I hate the disco - Flyin' saucers rock 'n' roll - Say mama - Saturday night at the duckpond - Rocco rumble - C'mon everybody - Matchbox - Geronimos rock - Maybelline - Feel like rockin' - Shakin' at the North Pole - Baby you're playing with fire - I was a teenage rock 'n' roll werewolf from outer space - Shake rattle and roll - Rough cut Read more about Johnny & The Roccos For bookings contact: Reviewed by The BlackCat, 2001 |
