The newly released CD by Denver rock’n’roll band starts from train whistle, inviting you on board of the rockin’ Readline Rocket train. Its "conductor" is promising a lot of dancing, shaking and rockin’ during this long ride (with not less, but 20 tracks... eleven of which are original compositions). Good written self-penned songs mixed with too famous covers such as Summertime Blues, Stood Up, Woman Love, Good Rockin’ Tonight, etc. In general band is doing a good job, having own style and playing rockin’, even though having clear modern sound. Everything is in high tempo, but sometimes you are missing some "enthusiasm", and that’s why I have the feeling that guys are becoming kind of tired from time to time. Talking about songs, "Monkey See Monkey Do" is my favourite, because of funny lyrics, perfect beat, brilliant singing, and also good humor. The rest also have lots of good "qualities", but the very favourite should be one. Want to reveal one secret to you. I started to listen to the cd on my laptop (never do that!) and was (absolutely) loosing the right sound. Fortunately I got clever advice to use cd-player instead and then I realised that musicians are actually very good! Finally I could hear professional slappin’ of Mike Baird, steady and correct beat of drummer Jesse Carraway, very nice guitar picking of Tim Wallace and low tones in Ricky Dean Haffey’s vocal. Hey, this band is not bad at all! So I won’t mind buying another ticket and make a return journey in the same train! See you on board!
